ACER BRAND CERTIFIED REFURBISHED WARRANTY POLICY

When you buy an Acer Brand Certified Refurbished device on XtraCover, you are covered under Acer’s official brand warranty, serviced through Acer-authorised service centres across India.

This page explains how that warranty works, what’s covered, and how to get support if something goes wrong.

What Does Acer Brand Certified Refurbished Mean?

  • Has been inspected and tested as per Acer standards
  • Has defective parts repaired or replaced
  • Meets Acer’s functional performance requirements
  • Carries a valid Acer serial number

That means:

  • Repairs are done only by Acer Authorised Service Providers (ASP)
  • Parts and service quality follow Acer’s policies

XtraCover does not approve, deny, or manage Acer warranty claims.

Lenovo Brand Refurbished Warranty

LENOVO BRAND CERTIFIED REFURBISHED WARRANTY POLICY

When you buy a Lenovo Brand Certified Refurbished device on XtraCover, you’re backed by Lenovo’s brand warranty system. That means genuine parts, authorised service centres, and brand-approved repairs.

What is “Lenovo Brand Certified Refurbished”

A Lenovo Brand Certified Refurbished device is inspected, tested, and certified by Lenovo at an authorized Lenovo service center. Prior to certification, the device undergoes the following processes:

  • Inspected and tested as per Lenovo standards
  • Restored to full working condition
  • Assigned a valid Lenovo serial number
  • Approved for Lenovo’s official service network

Because of this, Lenovo treats the device as eligible for brand-level warranty support.

Who Provides the Warranty

The warranty on your Lenovo Brand Certified Refurbished device is provided directly by Lenovo.

What this means for you:
  • Lenovo decides whether an issue is covered
  • Repairs are done only at Lenovo-authorised service centres
  • Service quality, parts, and timelines follow Lenovo’s policies

XtraCover does not approve, reject, or process Lenovo warranty claims.

What the Warranty Covers

Lenovo Brand Certified Refurbished Warranty covers hardware problems that occur during normal use and are approved by Lenovo after inspection.

This typically includes:
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Internal hardware failures
  • Motherboard or component issues
  • Parts that stop working without user-caused damage
If the issue is covered, Lenovo may:
  • Repair the device
  • Replace the affected part
  • Provide a functionally equivalent replacement, if required

The final decision is always made by Lenovo after diagnosis.

What Is Not Covered

Some issues are not covered under Lenovo’s warranty. These include:

Physical or External Damage
  • Cracked screens or broken hinges
  • Dents, bends, or impact damage
Liquid and Electrical Damage
  • Water or moisture exposure
  • Fire damage
  • Power surge or voltage fluctuation damage
Battery, Accessories, and Software
  • Battery wear due to normal ageing
  • Chargers, cables, adapters, or peripherals
  • Software issues, OS errors, or virus problems
Usage and Repair Issues
  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
  • Repairs done by unauthorised service centres
  • Devices with missing or tampered serial numbers
  • Pre-existing issues before warranty activation

If Lenovo finds any of the above, the warranty claim may be declined or converted to a paid repair.

How Long the Warranty Is Valid

Warranty duration depends on:

  • The Lenovo model
  • The serial number linked to the device
  • The warranty entitlement assigned by Lenovo

You can check your exact warranty period anytime using your device serial number at a Lenovo-authorised service centre or Lenovo support portal.

Do You Need to Register the Warranty?

In many cases, Lenovo Brand Certified Refurbished devices are already registered. If registration is required:

  • It must be completed within 30 days of purchase
  • Registration is done directly with Lenovo

XtraCover does not register or activate Lenovo warranties.

How to Get Service When Something Goes Wrong

If you face an issue with your device:

  • Visit a Lenovo-authorised service centre or contact Lenovo support
  • Carry your purchase invoice and device serial number
  • Lenovo will diagnose the issue
  • If approved, Lenovo will repair or replace the device as per warranty

Lenovo may first attempt troubleshooting over phone, email, or remote support before recommending a repair.

Service Availability and Timelines
  • Service availability depends on your city and device model
  • Some locations may require carry-in or depot service
  • Parts availability may affect repair time

Lenovo decides the service method based on feasibility and coverage.

Replacement Parts and Repairs
  • All replaced parts become Lenovo property
  • Replacement parts may be new or Lenovo-certified refurbished
  • Repairs focus on restoring full functionality

Cosmetic differences do not affect warranty eligibility.

How This Works with XtraCover Plans

If you have both warranties:

  • Lenovo warranty applies first, if active
  • XtraCover protection plans apply after Lenovo warranty expires, if purchased
  • The two warranties do not overlap

Claims must always be raised with the correct provider.

Please Note

All warranty decisions including approval, repair method, replacement, or rejection are made only by Lenovo.

XtraCover’s role is to help you buy with confidence and offer additional protection plans where applicable.
